Rio Ferdinand Foundation announce partnership with Connolly’s Volkswagen Commercials
The Rio Ferdinand Foundation is delighted to announce a partnership with Connolly’s Volkswagen Commercials, which has become our official van supplier.
The relationship, which blossomed in March 2024 when Rio Ferdinand visited the West of Ireland for our #BeyondTheBall celebration showcase match between youngsters from southern border counties and Northern Ireland, a collaboration with Sligo Rovers and the International Fund For Ireland, saw Connolly’s Volkswagen and Audi Ballina chosen as Rio and his Foundation’s form of transport during his visit.
Following the incredible welcome and hospitality during that visit, the Foundation and Connolly’s Volkswagen Commercials relationship has since grown, commencing in an exciting partnership that supports and aids the Foundation in achieving goals in #poweringpotential.
Connolly Motor Group is a family-run business since 1939. A third-generation business that is grounded in tradition and their family’s passion for cars, while operating a very modern business from their state-of-the-art showrooms in Sligo, Ballina, Letterkenny and Galway, with nine brands and 14 sites across the West of Ireland.
The partnership will help the Foundation reach new young people across the Island of Ireland, creating more opportunities for young people to tackle inequality, achieve their personal potential, and drive social change.
